Great Set! Horrible Packaging. Great Set. Everywhere you can find great reviews on what a value this set is. It is beautiful and sounds great. Horrible packaging. Yamaha packages these so that the bearing edges of the bass drum and floor tom ride on floor of the cardboard box — I got one that had two cracked shells. It was delivered on it’s side, though clearly marked to keep it upright. Amazon does nothing to augment the poor packaging. Also the boxes are marked two-person carry. The delivery people often ignore…
Check the model # before you open the box. When it arrives, make sure the box says SBP0F5 if you ordered the 20″ bass and SBP2F5 if you ordered the 22″. I ordered the 20″ for my 10 year old son and didn’t even think to measure it until after it was put together and the box was shredded. The floor tom is also 2″ larger so the 14″ upgraded remo head I ordered for it doesnt fit because the 22″ bass comes with a 16″ floor tom. The drums are great. I can’t fault them. The seller, however, needs to check orders…
