Very disappointed for my need and use as a controller. Very disappointing, drivers unstable on Mac 10.12.x. I bought this primarily to use as a midi trigger controller. Iâve tried several other cheaper ones and they were just terrible. Tech support were excellent and awesome but drivers and software issues kills this. The pads were too soft and sponge like. Getting around in the menu was a nightmare and the manual totally S@&!#. I own the Yamaha 502 with the 532K kit which is ok but still had issues with the DTX502TOUCH app for the iPad. I do need…
I love this thing I am very impressed with the quality and variety (there’s 120 snare drums!, timpani…) of the sounds. The ability to layer and modify sounds is very useful. The way I programmed mine, I am using it as a set without pedals. I programmed some of the pads (HH, Ride) to add a bass drum when I hit them harder, so I can play bass drum and HH/cymbal with one stick. The perfect solution when space/funding is a challenge for band/orchestra percussion. This electronic drum pad is AMAZING. I purchased it primarily for the timpani samples, allowing my youth orchestra percussionist to play a variety of instruments we do not have the space or manpower to move into the community center where we play.
