Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5AN — nylon tip
The American Classic line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The nylon tip is similar in size and shape to the Extreme 5A, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to the original wood tip model. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals. Length= 16 1/2 Diameter= .565

a MUST HAVE for any time of drumset. I am a firm believer that these sticks were the best thing since the invention of the throne. One would be surprised at just how much flexibility you gain when the stick is just an inch longer. It may not look like much, and it does take a hour or so to really get used to, but when you learn how to handle them, its like wondering how you survived without internet.At just an inch longer, you get to move your set around a bit, and for me, having the extra reach meant more accessories…
