Great for working on your rudiments whenever you have a few spare minutes and 4 square inches of flat surface I really like these. I have only been drumming for a year; I need lots of practice. I keep these in the kitchen so I can work on my rudiments on the kitchen counter top while waiting for frozen food to come out of the microwave or taster oven.The bounce is very similar to a practice pad and the tapered shaft makes the sticks feel exactly like the Vic Firth 5Bs that I drum with. Nice for travel
These do the trick if you don’t want to carry a heavy/bulky practice pad around with you. I took them on a trip when I didn’t want to take my 12″ pad or buy a smaller pad that would still be heavy, so I took these instead. As expected, the feel is not as nice as with a pad, but you can get a decent rebound as long as you use a hard surface.
