Passable These bongos were very inexpensive and I feel I got what I paid for. The Macho (smaller drum) skin was ripped on arrival. The drum was unusable. Also there were some small cracks between some of the slats in both drums. Since I am a drum repairman, I replaced the skin and filled the cracks with patch I made from wood glue and sawdust. I sent a request to Amazon for a partial refund for the broken skin, and they quickly replied with a partial refund that was enough to cover my cost. I am very…
Not Worthwhile At first, I was happy with these bongos. For the price, they seemed like an excellent starter set (but not a toy). I liked that they were tunable with a standard drum key. When I received them, I noticed that the smaller head had a couple minor defects in it. Carefully, I tuned it up and it held. For the past month, I’ve played them nearly daily.
