Poor sound quality – Only one clear note. More like a toy than an instrument. I’m returning it. I doubt there’s any difference in tone with colors, but I ordered the blue one. It was packaged well, came in good condition. I loved all the accessories and the case was high quality. HOWEVER, the drum was not on par with the all the doodads that come with it. Oh My Goodness, What Fun! I have been intrigued by these hand steel tongue drums since stumbling upon them in my online musical instrument searches. Finally took the plunge. Have had mine for all of one hour of pure delight. Yes, a standard major scale with several note duplications an octave apart. But…you can play individual notes, or strike two for a chord with an infinite number of note/chord order and percussive movement to explore.
