Fine for traditional hardware and small sticks The clip on this thing is big! I’ve clipped it to my timbale stand tube, hihat stand tube, and the double-braced leg of my drum throne, and the notched rubber pads on the jaws keep it quite secure while statically holding two pairs of sticks. However, If you whack it or pull the sticks out at an angle, it may come off; it is certainly not a “fixed” means of attachment. Also, beware that the top opening of the cups are actually a bit small; while they’re fine for grabbing a replacement…
