This thing is great! very very cool.I bought this guitar as an experiment in several respects and I am very impressed.First of all, I wanted to see what a guitar made of a light-weight wood (in this case sycamore) would be like. It is very light, noticeably so (at a guess, about half what a fender version weighs), and I think that’s a good thing, both from a holding the thing up, and from the way it sounds. Not sure if the weight has any affect on the final sound, but this guitar does…
Good beginner guitar. Fretboard has a smooth natural feel. Fret bars are cut well no scratching. Tuners are adequate. Strings are stock “factory” type and need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the pickups are weak & crappy, mediocre at best. I’ve since replaced them with a triple(3) combo hot-rail kmise (neck & middle) & belcat alnico magnet(bridge) pickups all found on Amazon. Much better sounding output, especially when playing power chords. Otherwise, the three tone/volume knobs work…
