Me and my drum! I bought this for my grandson’s 7th birthday in the travel size. It was the perfect height. The quality of the woodwork & paint finish was excellent. It makes a wonderful sound & variation of tones depending on where & how you hit the face of the drum. You can use your hand or fingers. Well engineered and musical Based on first impressions, I don’t think you can get a $40 instrument of any type that is more musical than this cajon. You get a deep kick sound by hitting the center and not lifting your hand right away, and convincing snare sounds on the upper front.
