Roland, a sound minor quality improvement is not the same thing as “500 new sounds”.
The Roland TD 20 is EXCELLENT!!! It doesn’t seem like much effort was put into the TD-20 module. The TD-20 kit itself might be an improvement over previous models, but the TD-20 module is arguably worse than the TD-12 module. I could imagine the team behind the TD-12 being very proud of the product when it was released, but I imagine when the TD-20 was completed, There were probably feelings of “that’s it?”, followed by shame. 5 years ago I bought the TD-12 and enjoyed it very much.
