A brilliant machine. Not perfect but incredibly unique and versatile. Roland’s SP-404 SX is not a perfect machine. But it’s also unlike almost any other instrument on the market. Nearly unlimited storage space (depending on your SD card size) allows you to load this up with any size samples that you’d like. You can then bang away in real time on the pads.. or you can use the internal sequencer to create sequences to play back. The sequencer isn’t perfect and feels a bit cumbersome.
