Ease of use, good sound and power and long time use on batteries….great for many types of playing…. A friend bought one of these and I tried it and loved it. I use it as a monitor in some cases with my 3/4 and at gigs using either the 3/4 or one of my standard basses (4 or 5 string and fretted and not fretted). It works well for normal gigs and or busking and either on batteries or power, I use a big high power 15″ amp. when I need a bigger sound which does need 120vac, but this Roland thingy has a pretty darned good sound and volume for the size and money. The unit I have been looking I was skeptical, but based on the reviews, I decided to plunk down the money for this little amp. I have to say I am completely amazed at the versatility, tone, features, effects and especially the amount of sound that it produces. I played with a five-piece string band over the weekend at a 100 – seat venue and had to be careful not to overpower the group with controls not even halfway up. Chorus and Wah came in handy; will use the built-in drum machine for another one in a couple of days…
