I’m loving this pad! As far as the “hotspot” issue goes… So I’ve been experimenting with this pad and I have to say I love it so far. I have the Roland TD-11KV kit using the TD-25 module. I wanted a larger snare so I got this and used the PDX-8 pad that came with my kit as a fourth tom which worked out perfectly for me. The TD-25 module has two extra trigger inputs which made this possible.The feel of this pad is great! It has a really nice bounce to it. Best Upgrade From Roland for the Price Using this on a TD-12KV I picked up a few years ago and am very pleased with my purchase.I was on the fence for a few years about adding one more trigger to my kit, mainly due to the price of procurement.
