Remo HD-8514-00 Fiberskyn Frame Drum, 14″
The Remo Fiberskyn 3 Frame Drum features a wide body shell and a thumb notch with four holes located around the circumference of the Acoustic on shell. The four holes are placed in a manner allowing the use of many materials such as rope, string, leather or vinyl strips to create a handle that would suspend the drum and increase the projection when struck with a mallet or hand. All frame drums are equipped with a Remo drumhead and are manufactured with Remo’s patented Acoustic on shell that produces the same tonal characteristic found on traditional wood shell drums with excellent projection and enhanced low-pitched fundamentals. The end result is a light weight, durable, weather-resistant and easy to play frame drum for countless hours of jamming.

Our son receives NMT services at this time to support regulation, motor skills, and hopefully the long term development of his expressive language skills. Although we do spend a great deal of time working on encouraging the latter, for me, as his mom, I know he can still function effectively as an adult given his ability…
happy with drum. I’ve had a Remo Fiberskyn3 22″ for several years and i really enjoy it for family drum circles and just playing rhythms for meditation and relaxation, my wife’s frame drum that she’s had ever since she was a little girl (she’s had it for over 12years) finally wore itself out so i bought her a 15″ so we could continue playing together. The sound is good, but it did not have holes drilled into the frame like it advertised; however it did have the thumb notch. My only minor complaint is…
