NOT MUCH RESO TONE FROM THIS ONE I’ve been craving a Reso type guitar for some acoustic songs I’ve written. I picked this one up and gave it a shot.The first one I received was really whacked. One of the little round grills was missing and there was a giant ding on the headstock.Amazon replaced it and the second one arrived complete and functional. It comes with DAddario acoustic strings on it. I don’t know what gauge they are. I replaced them with a set of Martin Marquis that had a little stiffer high…
Now this is what i call value I played roughly five different brands of resonator guitars before I settled on this one. I liked the sound more than the others and sound was the primary decisive factor but I was able to easily reach the 12th fret on this guitar. On other resonators the body of the guitar hindered my reach to the 12th fret. The fact that this guitar was more reasonably priced was inconsequential but a bonus. I would have paid for the sound and fret reach I was after but this guitar was the least expensive of…
