Pyle and Dummies have teamed up to make the Electronic Drum Kit For Dummies, a boxed set that includes the PED07 drum rack, digital sound module, five drum pads, drumsticks, hi-hat cymbal pedal, bass drum pedal, an AC adaptor, and seven interconnect cables. The PED07 five-pad digital drum offers an assortment of drum sounds, including classic rock’n’roll style tom-toms, snares, cymbals, and kick drums, plus hand percussion conga drums for rumba-style beat playing. It is powered by the included 110V ~ 220V Auto Switch Power AC adaptor. Also included in this kit is the full retail version of Drums For Dummies, 2nd Edition by Jeff Strong (Wiley). The book is primarily a guide for acoustic drums, but the lessons concerning drum theory and general drumming style will be very helpful to get you started on your drumming.

Great for practice and won’t break your wallet. Just to clarify, I am rating this 5-stars as a PRACTICE kit. I would never, ever (ever ever EVER) gig with this thing or play it in public. I go out through the headphones jack and run it into my studio computer to arrange and practice my live drum parts without unnecessarily disturbing roommates, family, girlfriends, neighbors, or anyone else who happens to exist near me. The sounds aren’t great and the responses aren’t perfect, but for what you’ll pay for this, they’re easily good enough…
Pyle for Dummies We ordered this set for our son for his seventh birthday. When we set it up the night before, we discovered that the right channel was not working. The set also did not come with the book and CD as advertised.We have returned this set and ran out and bought a different brand’s set for about $50 more and it is a world of difference. Not a bad kit, be aware that it might not include the dummies book and cd, but if you complain you could get a partial refund!!,Anyway, its a lot of fun and sounds good through head phones. still havent figured out a good set up for amplification, but a guitar amp sounds a bit dodgy with this one.Also the hi hat pedal is not very responsive, and bass drum not very loud, but I dont know if thats common with electronic drums, works fine after a bit of getting used to…
