Used this on my Acrolite for reggae. Exactly what I was wanting! For those curious about overall width and, by extension, corresponding snare bed size, these come in at 1 5/16″ for the copper end clips, and 1 1/4″ from the outside crest of one wire to the outside crest of the far opposite wire. Great snare wires! Good balance of shell sound to snare sound.
I bought both the 16 strand and the 12 strand Concert Series snare wires in 14″, and I have to say they have a very even and clear sound. It’s clearly obvious that they are WAY better quality than the standard $10 replacement wires you can get anywhere else, and they can help make a cheap snare sound like an expensive one.If you are putting these on a concert snare drum, purchase these over of the 16 strand version.
