puc+ The Universal Bluetooth MIDI interface for musicians who make music on an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac
Introducing the first Bluetooth MIDI interface that universally supports most MIDI controllers. Finally, your favorite Class-Compliant USB-MIDI or 5-pin MIDI controllers can wirelessly connect to apps and DAW’s on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac in an easy-to-use device. Powered by two AA batteries and utilizing Apple’s Bluetooth MIDI connectivity, the puc+ gives wireless freedom and convenience to all of your MIDI controllers with very low latency. If you’re a musician with an iPhone or iPad loaded with GarageBand and some amazing synth apps, but connecting your favorite controller with adapters and specialty cables makes you feel like you’re tethering up a 21st Century ball and chain, the puc+ is the wireless solution you’ve been waiting for. Attach your keyboard controller to a puc+, your drum pad controller to another puc+, your fader bank controller to another, and your trademark MIDI synth module to yet another and they’re all wireless and available in your DAW or from apps on your iPad or iPhone. Apple’s Bluetooth MIDI connectivity also supports MULTIPLE simultaneous connections. Put a puc+ on each of your favorite controllers and connect them all at the same time. (iOS 8+, OS X 10.10+ required). If you love your wires because you believe they perform best, you owe it to yourself to try the puc+’s low latency.

ONE WAY MIDI at a time, no handshake!!! I’m rating it as “okay” for the time being, I have queries out to support for this and an app called “Remote” used to add a 2nd display to the Korg Kronos keyboard synth, and the “problem” is the app won’t sync up with the Puc+. I’m told by Zivix support that this device doesn’t support 2-way MIDI or a “handshake” required by the app. THAT is a HUGE drawback, while I found it does send MIDI data both ways, it just can’t do a handshake. Very odd, and perhaps…
