The 747 was designed by Neil Part of Rush. It features a classic 5A diameter but is longer and features a thicker taper. The large oval bead provides a dark, warm tone. The 747 is the perfect stick when more volume is required.

Nothing compares to these sticks I’ve used Pro-Mark Japanese White Oak (preferably these NP Signature 747 model sticks) for almost three decades, and have never been let down. They are quality made. Paired by sonically and weight matched sets, which makes each pair comfortable and consistent. You can also use the butt end to project more if needed, since they are well rounded and will not damage the drum heads.I used to sand the finish off back in the 80’s, but now they only have a slight finish on them that does…
