These are great cymbals, BUT These are great cymbals, BUT.. if you cannot control yourself and hit like an animal I’d pass on these. The trigger sensor is enclosed in a box just under the strike pad, and from my experience if you hit too hard it will crack the encasing.. This then causes faulty misses and registers.You can fix it by super gluing the cracks in the casing, but it’s really better to just not hit them hard. Much better than Ion cymbals for Rock Band I got 3 of these to replace the ION Drum Rocker cymbals because they had become so loud over the years that all I could hear was plastic tapping unless I turned the Rock Band game’s volume up to drown it out.These are so much quieter, and I am 100% satisfied. Good cymbal at a great price. But don’t play *too* hard. I use this as the high-hat with my tricked-out Ion Drum Rocker. It’s a good, solid cymbal trigger.It’s quieter than the Ion cymbals (but then again, so is my garbage disposal). With the foam strike pad, it has a more solid “thunk” where the Ion cymbals are all klonks and thwacks.Being an awesome drummer in my own head, I tend to play it a little hard sometimes.
