I’ve tried them all! I had a Vox Valvetronix, that I used as my practice-modeling Amp. The Valve went on the thing. I went to Guitar Center & tried ALL the modeling amps. The Marshall, the Orange, the Fender Mustang, the Blackstar… the ONLY ones that I’ve ever liked in terms of “modeling”, is the Fender Mustang & The Peavey Vypyr. Nice! An amazing amplifier! The big question I had with the 20 watt version was, will this be loud enough on stage when being mic’d through the PA. Yes. It delivered very well. Of course when playing to a crowd larger than 100 people, you will mic it through the PA. Most sound engineers I work with insist on that arrangement anyway because your amp becomes your on stage monitor and they can control the mix from the board.
