Peavey Power Slide – Red
The Peavey PowerSlide standup lap steel-style electric guitar is designed with unique contours that make it easy to play either vertically or horizontally, seated or standing. The PowerSlide’s Basswood neck-through design keeps the weight down, while juicing sustain. The electronics are unique, too: a magnet-loaded pickup with a variable coil mode control lets you dial continuously between chunky humbucking and wiry single-coil tones. Whether you’re a long-time steel player – or just thinking about adding steel guitar to your arsenal, you should check out the Peavey PowerSlide!

LOVE IT!! I love the design of this guitar and the tone is awesome to have a coil knob to go from single coill to humbucking and everything in between is nice. I tuned mine to C6 which is from bass string to high C E G A C E and that low E note is tuned up to C. I’m pretty sure it comes with G open tunings gage strings on it (15-36 gage set) and it has held this tuning nicely for a week and a half without retuning. Crisp single coil highs and rumbling humbucking sound. The C6 tuning is country Western…
The Most Bang For Your Buck In Slide Guitar It’s a lot of electric slide for the money. It is best suited for rock and blues, but it can pass for country music as well. I purchased a couple of different steel slides (Stubbs SP2 and a “Lap Dawg”), from Amazon, and I find they work better than the Peavey factory supplied slide. The factory slide is somewhat thick,…
It ROCKS! Ok, this thing lives up to the hype. The fit and finish is that of much more expensive instruments. The tones you can get are great. The tuners have a nice ratio and it keeps tune well. Mine also came with a guitar cable! The steel that comes with it is a little cheesy and the gig bag isn’t anything to crow about but where it counts this thing shines! The instrument itself is in a class with much more expensive lap steels. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a lap…
