Cool little gadget I’m not sure how much one can say about a headphone amplifier. It works as advertised, it’s controls are smooth and reasonably linear, and it produces a sound much like many real amplifiers. I haven’t tried it with my Hummingbird Pro which doesn’t need it anyway, but with my Les Paul (both are Epiphone) it produces a distorted, fuzzy but rich sound typical of lower end humbuckers. Does what it should. Fantastic value. After spending nearly $40 on a FIOS headphone amp only to see it crap out early, I decided to go with this MUCH cheaper product. Not disappointed. I use it for bass guitar practice and it gets the job done more than adequately. And at this price point lasting more than a year is a bonus. I’m a little amazed at reviewers who complain about hiss and limited sound variety. You use a headphone amp to practice easily and quietly. Period. They all hiss and have a limited sound palette.
