A Must-Have for Every Ukulele Owner This little ukulele humidifier is essential to maintaining the health and life of your ukulele. It gets the job done in a fun way without the need for a serious contraption or investment. The only thing that should be noted that I did not initially realize when I made this purchase is that you should only use DISTILLED WATER with this humidifier. Although distilled water is cheap enough at your local grocery store, it makes the actual sponge soaking more of a process than I was hoping for…
If you live in a cold dry Northern area, and want your ukulele to stay in good condition take the time and use one of these I live in Minnesota. It is so dry in the winters you get shocked just walking around the house. I have humidifiers going in each room, but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. I can’t really tell if these are working, but I’m going to assume they are because I do have to dip in the distilled water at least once a week to soften again.
