Monoprice 611705 5Watt, 1 x 8 Guitar Combo Tube Amplifier with Celestion Speaker
Get superior guitar tone in a small package using this 5-Watt 1×8 Guitar Combo Tube Amplifier with Celestion Speaker from Monoprice! As the title indicates, this guitar amplifier features a 5-watt tube power amplifier and a Celestion brand speaker. It uses a ECC83/12AX7 preamplification tube and a 6V6GT power tube for the amplifier section, plus a Celestion Super 8 GBA-15 speaker. The amplifier handles frequencies between 80Hz and 10kHz, with hum and noise -75dB below the rated power and 0.5% total harmonic distortion. It includes a Low input and a High input, with the former attenuating the signal by approximately 50% and the latter being easier to overdrive. The cabinet is ported in the rear and features a leather handle, cloth speaker grill, and a cream-colored, textured, synthetic leather exterior with chrome corner guards.

New to guitar? Start here! I was actually after this guy’s 15 watt big brother, but it was out of stock and I caught this little fella on sale for just under a bill. I pulled trigger on the little 5 watt, and I’m so glad I did. Otherwise I may have missed out on trying this little gem!If you are new to guitar and looking to buy your first amp, skip the solid states and the modelers and buy this. This is a simple amp (just volume and tone controls), but that is a good thing. You will learn what the volume and…
A cool little all-tube amp that sounds quite good. It has now been over three months since I bought this amp. I purchased it as both a back-up amp to my main one, and as a small, easy-to-carry tube amp to throw in the car. For the first two or three weeks, I really didn’t use it much, only to break it in a bit. I mostly used my Ampeg Jet ll reissue, as it has a 12″ vintage Ampeg speaker, 18 watts with both spring reverb and tremolo. But, as often happens with vintage amps, it needed servicing (some re-soldering work). It has been in…
MonoPrice tube amp……5- watts. I bought this little tube amp because I like to practice and jam out at non ear killing volumes plus keep my neighbors Happy. That and the fact that you can really get the tubes cooking for that sweet tube overdrive. I have 2 other 5-watters (Bad Cat Cougar & Bolgera Classic) and this one has its own special voice. The other 2 are el84 tubers. This Mono has 6v6 power tube…..stock tubes sound very good so far! I feel like I got a good deal on this amp …bang for buck. It is a simple…
