Excellent Brush Sound Not as dramatically useful as the Vater VCS brushes, but bring a lot of value on their own. I have used these for creating lighter/treble type of effects, like emulating shakers and high sounding snares. Definitely a very good addition to your cajon arsenal. The variable length on these makes for some combinations but to be honest I use them almost exclusively at the full length. I used these for a swing beat for Jazz charts on my Pearl Cajon. Pearl uses a fiberglass front panel so I was using wire brushes at first and switched to the CB2s. The made a really nice sound that is very similar to the wire brushes and probably sound better on the “swish” strokes. The CB2s are weren’t as stiff as the wire brushes so I don’t get a springy rebound that I like. I bought these because I was already comfortable playing with these brushes. I had a pair of these for quite a while until they were taken during a break between sets.Since the entire stickbag was stolen, I have answered the question ” if you didn’t have these anymore, would you buy them?”Yes.
