It’s loud enough and the quality of the instrument reproduction is as good as other keyboards I’ve owned. There is a large variety of sounds to play around with. Great features, very good sound, loaded with features! We bought the Medeli SP4200 a few months ago for our girls (7 and 9 years old) to take piano lessons. We tried some others in the store from Yamaha and Casio. We also had the piano teacher try them to help us pick. I think the Medeli sounds just as good as the Yamaha. The Casio had the best sound. A fantastic piano — love it! This replaces my Williams Rhapsody 2 which was (I believe) roughly in the same price range and it’s definitely a step up. While both featured weighted keys, the Medeli’s feel heavier and more natural to me. They are a bit stiff ‘out of the box’ but break in easily and quickly.The sound is far louder and better than the Williams as well.
