Logidy UMI3 MIDI over USB Foot Controller
The UMI3 is a three-switch foot controller that connects to a computer or tablet via USB and shows up as a MIDI device. By default the pedal acts like a three-note MIDI keyboard but it can be configured to send CC and program change messages as well. The UMI3 is used to start /stop recording or playback in DAWs, turning FX on or off, triggering sounds or loops or anything else that can be mapped via MIDI. The downloadable free innovative Setup Panel also includes a step sequencer that allows for sending different messages from the same foot switch.

Great, simple footpedal. Wish it had a couple more features. Great simple footpedal. I was able to map it in Ableton Live to effectively be a looper that records each part into separate clips in different tracks.Construction is very sturdy which is great. It can send pretty much any midi signal: note on/off, program change, pitch wheel, etc. And the included software has one really cool feature, that you can basically set a bank of up to 8 different note options per switch, and have either the same switch or one of the other switches step…
Cool pedal. I really like this pedal and use it quite a bit.. I do many things with my Laptop during live performance.. I have a FIshman Triple Play and often use this for sustain purposes.. I have one pedal programmed to Sustain when I hold it down and another as a latching sustain.. It works and works pretty well for that purpose..I do have an occasional problem with the switches sticking down.. Again, this is occasional enough to mention but to be a major inconvenience.. Maybe 1 time…
Being able to control Live 9 with this pedal sure makes recording an awful lot easier. I haven’t tried it in Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio but I’m pretty sure it’ll work there, too. Well worth the money. In addition, I was unable to activate the Logidy Full Circle looping software because I didn’t have the code. The Logidy website is shut down until Sept. 4 but I emailed them and asked about it. I was told they’d be able to send the code in about a week. We’ll see. At least they answered my…
