Excellent Practice Amp I purchased this amp to use for practicing at home. I chose the 120W model because it has a 12â speaker. I like to play a lot of (very) dropped tunings, so having a larger woofer helps with low frequency response. For reference, the low C of drop C is ~65Hz and drop-A tuning on a 7-string goes down to 55Hz. I liked that amp decently and used a BOSS multi-function pedal … This is my second Line 6 Spider series amp. The first one I purchased around 9 years ago and was the standard 30 watt non-digital interface version. I liked that amp decently and used a BOSS multi-function pedal setup with it, I ended up selling it before I had to move. Purchased this new model because the functionality and presets were intriguing. The artist and genre presets are actually very similar to the artists’ tones! I guess modeling has probably improved a lot over the years…
