It’s works great I used it this weekend it plays well, I have used JCR bells for 30 years now it hard trying to get used to it, but it sounded great this weekend, the only thing I continue to remind musicians, especially in the salsa field, if you’re going to use an LP bell on the timbales, you must hear me you must use an LP bell for the bongo player, if not the harmony will not sound right. Owning other LP cowbells (particularly the lower pitch E-7 “Salsa Downtown” Mambo cowbell and LP’s E-5 “Salsa Timbale Cowbell”) I wanted to try the E-6 “Salsa Uptown cowbell” and read many of the reviews on how loud this bell is. While it is louder than the E-5 & E-7 it does have an interesting tone and depth.
