Good quality, budget or entry-level lapsteel. This is a solid lapsteel. I would define it as the budget option, but it does everything it needs to, and has a good sound. The company responsible, Harmonia, is part of a big group of cheaper-end instrument manufacturers in Asia. They go by a myriad of names, but do quality work. I did end up replacing the fret board (which required some trial and error), but that was all personal preference. The stainless steel plate around the pickup is a nice touch, definitely better than plastic. Be aware…
