Imperial Royal Hawaiian Limited Edition Weissenborn Style Lap Steel Guitar

This is the Imperial Valley Guitars Royal Hawaiian Limited Edition, the flagship of Imperial Guitar’s fleet.

The Royal Hawaiian Limited Edition is built on Imperial’s original innovation, the extra deep body, and features all of their best options. The LTD was introduced two years ago as a special deluxe limited edition of their Extra Deep Standard but it has become so popular that it has replaced the Standard model entirely.

One of its great features is the premium Fishman Sonicore under saddle pickup with Fishman’s excellent Presys+ preamp system. This system features 4 bands of EQ as well as a notch filter for feedback busting and a phase switch, which is another tonal variable that is useful for adding extra fullness at low volumes. The + part of Presys+ is the built-in tuner, always handy in any case, but especially if you’re going to be changing tunings in the middle of a set.

The 2015 Royal Hawaiian Limited Edition features all of Imperial’s newest deluxe features:
• Top, back and sides are all Sapele Mahogany
• Top is solid Sapele, back and sides are laminated Sapele
• Original Weissenborn style rope binding on top, back and neck
• Bound headstock with rosewood overlay
