A great bass for the price. I’ll preface this with I don’t play and am not musical. My daughter wanted this for her 15th birthday. She loves the colour and the fact that it is a 5 string. She already plays guitar and piano and wanted to give bass a try. This particular bass was slightly lighter than several other 5 strings she tried (she’s a little thing). It is easy to play, sounds great and is easy to work on ie. neck and bridge adjustments, as well as tuning. We did upgrade to flat wound slinky strings…
Major setup needed. Wanted a 5 string and this one had good reviews. The one I received was nice looking but had issues. The pickup covers are loose or at least wobbly and there is a huge amount of fret buzz. Made a neck adjustment and raised the strings at the bridge but there is still fret buzz. Why didn’t the person setting this guitar up back in Indonesia catch this problem and correct it then??? Probably because Ibanez doesn’t pay for corrections just crank them on out, good or bad. I would return this…
