Hartke HA2500 Bass Amplifier
Incredible Clarity and Punch in a Bass Amp
With 250 watts of available power, the Hartke HA2500 will drive your small to mid-sized bass rig with incredible clarity and punch. In addition, the HA2500 offers a number of advanced features, including front panel compression and ten bands of graphic equalization, allowing you to create a broad range tonal colors. A dedicated in/out button even allows you to preset an equalization curve. Two fully adjustable contour knobs (high pass and low pass) also provide further control for shaping your bass sound. Effects send and return jacks let you connect to professional outboard effects processors and an effect balance knob enables you to adjust the relative amount of send (“dry”) versus return (“wet”) effect signal being routed to the speaker outputs. Protection relay circuitry also protects connected speakers from dangerous overloading and also prevents “thumps” when powering on or off.
Featuring front panel compression and ten bands of graphic equalization.

The HA2500 provides 250 watts of power to a 4 ohm speaker system or 180 watts to an 8 ohm speaker system. With that kind of power, the amp is extremely loud and punchy. An electronically balanced direct output provides a means of routing your signal to professional mixing consoles in both live performance and recording environments. A ground lift switch helps prevent hum or buzz from entering the signal, and a pre/post switch allows the direct signal to be derived either before or after the amp EQ section.
Great in the Studio or on the Road
The Hartke silver-face chassis adds a clean, stylish aesthetic to any rig and rugged construction makes the HA2500 eminently roadworthy. Plus, with advanced preamp features, this amp is as ideal for studio work as it is for live performances. All this combined with exceptional reliability makes the HA2500 a staple amplifier for the contemporary bass industry.

Gets The Job Done I used to have an American-built Hartke 3500 bass amp, purchased in 1995, giving 19 years of near flawless performance until 2014, when it started giving me harsh popping noises. I decided to give Hartke another try, and bought a newer Chinese made 5500 version. I’ve used it for a few gigs now, and sounds more full than the original 3500. The volume doesn’t seem much diferent that the older 350 watt amp, but the tones seem to be thicker and fatter than the 3500.The front panel controls are…
I would have LOVED to have such an amp Powerful, but noisy and heavy.Has pro features: compression, EQ, line out. Reasonably priced for its output!Just too noisy and heavy for me. Thirty years ago, I would have LOVED to have such an amp. Technology has progressed since then. That doesn’t make this bad! In fact it is BETTER than many newer cheap “class-D” amps that claim mega-watt output but short us on delivery.Controls are intuitive, assuming you understand what they do. Too many tyros…
