A really great little starter kit. This is a very interesting instrument. It’s a very compact drum kit that can be set up in a small, confined space, like the corner of a small studio, which is exactly where I have mine. A Whole Lot of Kit for a Small Amount of Money Don’t let the price and country of manufacture (China) fool you; for the money, this kit is fantastic. The overall quality of the shells and hardware exceeded my expectations by a good margin.After replacing the kick head with a REMO Pinstripe, replacing the snare’s batter head with a REMO Coated Ambassador, adding Moongels to the batter heads of the snare & two toms, and by carefully tuning, I am getting some GREAT sounds out of this kit. They are fine. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for an amazing finish and amazing drums youâre a dreamer. They are pretty unplayable with the stock heads so you are going to need to replace the batter heads and the underside kick head and come up with some dampening for a kick sound at the least. After you do that they sound pretty darn good. The cymbals are not so awesome. I replaced them with good cymbals from my big drum kit. I like the top (or bottom? Who can really tell)…
