Great for my all Hog guitar Theyâre GHS strings, and like all GHS strings they sound great but to me, seem to lose their brightness fairly quickly…. I use these strings when I want a deeper tone, such as solo performances, acoustic shows, etc… Iâm aware other players donât do this (trust me, Iâve had techs, other players ask me why, and itâs just because I can hear the immediate difference once a string loses itâs life/color), but I usually change strings (electric & acoustic), every 6-8 hours of playing… That…
Warm, strong bass, clear treble I tried these strings on a recently new Alvarez AVC9 guitar that has a solid torrefied mahogany top and laminate mahogany back and sides. These strings are not as bright as Phosphor Bronze, and they work great with an all Mahogany guitar. The all hog wood has a pun guitar has a punchy tone, not much sustain, that is great for strumming or finger style. If you have one, I’d recommend that you try a set of these.
