Fine for a learner. There are a couple other beginner sets out there for just a little more money that are probably worth the extra amount.The guitar shipped with a couple physical blemishes, no big deal, however the E string also rubs around the 14th fret when hitting the E string on frets 10-13 so those notes don’t sound clear. Beginner guitar for 9 year old Son Admittedly I do not know very much about guitars but my son has expressed interest and had a First Act acoustic guitar he played with as a toy.
