Good enough for a beginner, but hard to grow with the amp I ordered the Fender Champion 20. Being a beginner, I wasn’t ready to splurge on a $600 combo tube amp, so I was looking for something simple to amplify my new Epiphone SG. Champion 20 vs Champion 40 This review is more of a comparison between the 20 and the 40 than a review of how the Champions sound. Great sound. I have always been partial to Fender tube amps, but am sold on solid state amps by this little powerhouse. Built in effects mean you have no need to kill the batteries in your effects…
