Great tool to make drum tuning easier! Works great! Gives consistent results across all lugs. Just set it to a desired tension, and most lugs will tighten identically to the 1st tightened lug. I still do a tap test at each lug on the drum to ensure as perfect tune as I can get. Keep in mind that the numbers on the dial are not intended to give you a specific standard torque measurement, but rather a reference to let you know if you are going up or down in tension. Did not work as advertised I hate to knock three starts out since I might have gotten a defective unit. However, my experience with the Evans Torque key was not as positive as most of the other users. I followed the instructions very closely but was not able to get the key to actually lock in place even at the highest tension. With that said, as expected from evans, the key is built quite well and seems to be rugged to take some road beating. I might try another one in the future due to the many positive reviews, but…
