A very versatile head. I have been playing these heads on my snare drums for about 5 years now and love them. Out of my 11 snare drums, all but 3 have a coated g2’s on them. I started out playing Remo heads in the beginning, and while they do sound good the coating starts coming off immediately. As in after 20 min of playing you already have an area with coating coming off. So I tried Evans and never looked back.
