I truly love these strings I truly love these strings! On my small body Alvarez they have an aggressive tone with balanced highs, crisp mids, and a present low end unlike the other sets of strings I’ve experimented with. I’m beyond impressed with the vibrance and beauty of sound coming from these strings. And the playability too! I replaced a set of Martin SP medium strings with these Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze, and my Ibanez dreadnought is singing. High tones are rich and vibrant, mids are pleasant and balanced, and the bass mixes well with the higher tones. I haven’t heard this kind of sound yet from this guitar… These are exceptional strings for finger picking. In my experience, this set will work great…
This acoustic string formulation doesn’t get the attention that D’Addario Nickel Bronze gets, but for some guitars I find it distinctively superior. It’s fairly futile trying to describe tone in words, but on my pre-war Gibson these Aluminum Bronze strings provide outstanding balance, great charity, abundant overtones, and a deep but decidedly clear bass.
