Just not worth buying from the big box music stores anymore. they never fail me, the versatility they have just really compliment the sound of pretty muck any guitar. Another thing I have found is that the these, more than any of the weights, seem to be less prone to change in sound from package to package. It’s funny but after playing for 15 years (which is half my life) I have used pretty much all of the main brands in all their weights on all my guitars and I have settled on these for my “Good for anything you can throw at me” strings. Use this for 8 of my 14 guitars! These strings definitely have some good snap when attacking the strings hard and compliment some good distortion, but the high E string constantly breaks at the tuning peg. It has gotten to the point that when I am tuning to standard and the high E string is at D#, I am just waiting for the string to snap. (Almost like a jack-in-the-box, but not fun….at all.) I thought I was getting a good deal with the whole 3 packs for $15, but sense I always have to take the high E string from the other…
