This pedal does it’s job and is very quiet for a compressor. I’ve been using a MXR Dyna Comp that I purchased used a few years ago. The Dyna Comp cost me the same $37 this Donner Ultra Comp cost me. I was willing to try the Donner Ultra Comp because the Dyna Comp was pretty noisy when engaged and forced me to take it off the board. This little Ultra Comp arrived a few days ago and is already a much better fit for me than the Dyna Comp. First, it is much quieter than the Dyna Comp. As a retired electronics technician for a major manufacturer, I have been building pedals from scratch, building pedal kits, and buying commercially built pedals.
