I don’t usually believe the hype, but… January order reaction: These are the best bass strings I’ve ever used. I have been using D’Addarios for a few years and I love the set to set consistency and tone. These are a definite improvement over the standard XL strings. The nickel wound has a nice tone up and down the neck I’ve been using Fodera strings on my Fodera basses for 10 years. I’ve tried other strings but have always put the Foderas back on until now. I like a deep , warm sound. The Fodera strings are warmer and deeper than these, but these have plenty of those qualities plus more mids and clarity. I also sometimes use sliding harmonics and they really jump out with these strings. The regular B string was OK but I changed to a tapered B and it really made a difference.
