Good for someone not knowing exactly what they like I’m not primarily a bass player and I have limited experience in this area, but I got a set of these a year ago and they still haven’t gone dead. I bought these thinking the old strings were due for a replacement but there doesn’t seem to be an urgent need. Great roundwounds, balanced tension is where it’s at I love the balanced tension sets that D’addario puts out – the output on each string is much more consistent and the feel of the strings is consistent too. It was a huge pet peeve of mine when my E and A strings would boom out while the D & G sounded thin and lifeless. This set solves that problem!I dig the way the nickels age too.
