Works but low quality build Works as advertised but there is definitely a build issue. The pins already came out of the sleeve after just two months! To be clear it is NEVER pulled out of the Roland TD-20 so this is definitely not a general wear-and-tear issue. So be warned, while this cable will do what you need, it’s build quality is very low. Works for basic midi messages. Sysex isn’t as consistent. Update: The sysex implementation is inconsistent. Some devices can receive sysex from this while others can’t – I have not yet been able to determine if it’s a transmission speed issue or simply a phantom power issue (some devices won’t receive sysex if there’s no phantom power, even if they don’t need the phantom power). It doesn’t provide phantom power, so you can’t program the midi-solutions event processor directly from this adapter. It seems to receive sysex from synths just fine. It…
