I specifically needed a light duty stand that I could deliberately drill out and re-thread, in order to bolt on a pair of fixed 14″ closed hi-hats, on top of which, rests an internally-mounted six-inch cowbell. The only way to accomplish this task with an ordinary “tilt-head” cymbal stand would be with the addition of a REMO universal adapter, which would have been way overkill.
