OK for the money I recently picked up an Ibanez SRX 400 bass in a trade deal. It has become my knocking around bass here at home. Since it didn’t come with any case and I can’t see paying the $120.00 or so dollars for the Ibanez HSC I decided to go with a gig bag. Pleasantly surprised to be a new ChromaCast fan I really bought this for the backpack-style straps, but it’s got zippered pockets that hold more than I could possibly need. The front and side handles have flexible plastic grips, which are nice. What I really like about the ChromaCast bag (pictured on the right), compared to the Fender gig bag (pictured on the left), is that the body of the bag is not cut symmetrically, with a zipper running along the center. Pleasantly surprised I’ve been a touring musician for over 20yrs and I bought this for my cheap beater 3/4 traveler acoustic guitar. I figured since I didn’t care much about the guitar I wasn’t gonna buy an $80 gig bag for it but I still needed something to throw it in when I hopped on the subway.
