Im impressed. Pro sound. Nice construction. GREAT price. I used this set on March 11, 2016 for the Mike Zito and the Wheel show I produced and also did sound for. I have another set of Audix FP4 mics but wanted a newer set than what I had and wanted to try the CAD set on recommendation of a friend of mine. They are built like a set that costs 3 times as much. The kick mic is approx the size and weight of a Shure Beta 52. The others are a nice compact size and mount quickly on the drum head ring. All the mics sounded wonderful that night. The kick mic…
Ehh..they will do.. These mics work great. They do have a design flaw with the clamps. If your using stick saver rims they will wobble loose because they won’t tighten down no matter how hard to torque them. When you’re able to place these mics on your drums rims firmly you’re unable to get the correct angle with the mic. You may be better off getting these mics and figuring out a way to apply a different clamp. Also, because of vibration the mic itself will tend to unscrew, opening up completely. Props for them…
