I really love the tone of this amp I really love the tone of this amp. It was quiet and looked amazing. I was very impressed when I checked it out in my house and was looking forward to using this amp with my bands. My band guys said that amp looks very expensive!! I nearly kept it ,but I decided to return it. The sound didn’t really cut through in a loud Funk/R&B band.( It sounded amazing when I played with my jazz band though) I wish it had “Low-mid” and “Hi-mid” controls….that would have been perfect. TC electronics,Bugera, Hartke and Behringer. I took a gamble on this amp after my Ampeg svt7pro started acting up on me again. Had good reviews and was cheap enough. Hooked it up to my 410 cab and immediately realized it was nowhere near 2000 watts (or 1000 at 8 ohms). It was weak and muddy. Seemed scooped when the EQ was flat and compressed even with the compressor off. Played with the EQ and got some of those missing mid frequencies back, but along with it came nasty unwanted noise. This may be an ok amp if you like that muddy scooped…
So what’s all the fuzz about these latest amps?TC electronics, Hartke, Bugera, even Behringer???They’re basically all the same engine, with different covers, save for the older Behringer.The luxury Sedan would be the TC electronics, which ups the ante by offering an advanced digital preamp, with hundreds of settings,and saving presets.The Hartke, not so sure.
